Project Description
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CLASSES
Physio-Led Strength & Conditioning Classes:
Our Strength & Conditioning classes are 45-minute, physiotherapist-led exercise sessions designed to safely build strength, balance, and confidence for people at all stages of life.
How does it work?
Each session includes a guided warm-up, six progressive strength and balance stations, and a structured cool-down, ensuring exercises are tailored, effective, and safe.
With close supervision from our physiotherapists, every participant receives expert guidance, correct technique, and appropriate progressions based on individual ability and goals.
Who Are These Classes For?
These classes are suitable for a wide range of people, including:

- Reduce the risk of injury and falls
- Move better and stay independent for longer

How Do I Get Started?
To begin, you’ll need an initial consultation with one of our physiotherapists by calling us on 03 9880 2337. During this session, your physiotherapist will:
- Take a detailed history and perform an objective assessment
- Record baseline measures
- Help you set meaningful, individualised goals
- Teach you the correct technique for exercises
Using this information, your physiotherapist will select the most appropriate strength and conditioning exercises for you. An entry-level standard must be achieved before attending classes.
What Is an Entry-Level Standard?
Your entry-level standard is assessed during the initial consultation. It reflects your ability to perform selected exercises safely and with correct form, under standard supervision.
If this standard is not yet achieved, your physiotherapist will recommend one-on-one sessions to build your strength, technique, and confidence until you’re ready to join a class.
Who Runs the Classes?
All classes at Sandringham Sports Physio are led by a trained physiotherapist. Classes run for 45 minutes and are intentionally small, allowing for individual attention and exercise adjustments tailored to your needs.
