Robert De Nardis
Robert De Nardis is a Senior Consultant Physiotherapist with over 35 years experience in the industry. Robert has a long list of career achievements including working with elite and semi elite sporting teams and codes inclusive of:
- NBL (Melbourne United Championship 2018)
- AFL/VFL (Sandringham Football Club – Multiple premierships achieved)
- National Track & Field teams/athletes
- State Rugby Union
Robert also has an International educational company GEMt where he is involved in teaching manual therapists from around the globe, he is recognised as a leader in the application of Dry Needling.
Robert also has a unique background in Whiplash treatment and research having several publications along with being instrumental in the development of technology that has revolutionised how chronic neck problems are rehabilitated. There are over 100 clinics worldwide utilising Robert’s management and treatment protocols inclusive of the UK Airforce.
As the previous Managing Director of both Sandringham Sports Physio SSP and The Melbourne Whiplash Centre MWC for over 30 years, Robert continues to consult for both clinics located at 150 Tulip Street Cheltenham.
Robert’s consulting terms are as follows:
Initial consultation $180 (one hour or until desired outcome is achieved)
Subsequent consultation $150 (40 minutes or until desired outcome is achieved)

Brandon Kam
Enjoys running and spending time with family.
Graduated from Melbourne University in 2000.
Worked in Tasmania in an outpatient setting for 3 years.
Has been at Sandringham Sports Physio since 2004.
Special interest in the treatment of headaches, neck pain, hamstring injuries, shoulder pain and knee pain.
Utilises Clinical Pilates and Dry Needling for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain.
Has worked with sporting teams including Sandringham Football Club, Sandringham Sabres Basketball and Tennis Australia.

Michael Shilson Josling
Graduated from The University of Sydney in 1994.
He has worked in various hospitals and private practice locations including 4 years in the UK, 10 years running his own practice and 1 year (part time) at The Melbourne Headache Centre.
Special interest in the treatment of headache, migraine, whiplash and chronic neck pain.
He regularly utilises dry needling for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and stiffness.
He has worked with sporting teams including Sabres Basketball and Petersham Rugby Union Club.

KATE DUDLEY
Graduated from Griffith University in Queensland in 2016
Previously work experience in private practice both in Queensland and Melbourne before joining Sandringham Sports Physio in 2023
Previous sports experience as tournament physio for Tennis Australia
Special interest in treatment of all sports injuries including hip, groin and tendon pain, knee and ankle disorders and utilises Dry Needling for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain.

Tina Liu
Graduated from Latrobe Uni in 2018
Previous work experience includes Alfred and Alice Springs Hospital across various departments before we welcomed her to the team at SSP in 2024
Previous sports experience as physio for the Victorian indoor netball team in 2023 at the National Championships

Nitya Marwaha
Graduated from Guru Nanak Dev University in India in 2018.
Previous work experience in India in a variety of hospital settings before completing her Masters in Advanced Clinical Physiotherapy, Sports in Adelaide and we welcomed her to the team at SSP in 2024.
Previous sports experience as physio for the Indian National Athletics team since 2019, more recently for the Norwood Flames Women’s Basketball team.
Special interest in treatment of knee, ankle and shoulder complaints as well as hamstring injury and tendinopathies.
Outside physiotherapy enjoys travelling and Yoga, being a qualified Yoga teacher.
Daniel Hall
Graduated from University of Central Lancashire with a Master's degree in Physiotherapy in 2020 after completing a Bachelor's (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science in 2017.
Previous work experience includes working in the National Health Service in the UK before making the move to Australia in 2024.
Previous sports experience in soccer, having working as a football coach for 4 years overseas.
Special interest in treatment of knee, shoulder and ankle injuries as well as all sporting injuries.
Outside physiotherapy enjoys playing soccer, keeping fit and enjoying all Melbourne’s finest food.
Carl Van Der Speck
Carl possesses over 10 years’ experience in massage therapy. His training is extensive and has techniques which he can apply to all areas of the body. Carl is highly skilled in sports massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, relaxation techniques, dynamic stretching techniques & treatment of athletes of all ages and levels.
Carl represented New Zealand as a sprinter in the 2006 Commonwealth games along with numerous other national and international track and field competitions. His experience as a professional athlete gives him great insight and knowledge on how to treatment specific injuries which cause stress to the human body.

- to prevent a significant change/deterioration in functional independence which would result in an escalation of care needs (e.g. an increase in frequency of treatment needed, an increased need for prescription medication due to a significant increase in pain, requirement for specialist input or review, an increase in care needs, and/or a substantial increase to anticipated recovery time associated with a delay in receiving services)
- to provide assessment and diagnostic services to clients / patients whose care have been delayed as a result of previous restrictions, with any further delay likely to result in deterioration in functional independence or adverse health outcomes (including access to diagnostic imaging services or assessment for prescription of assistive equipment and technology)
- to provide services that are essential as part of a broader plan of care with a medical practitioner (e.g. fitting a brace post-surgery)
- to provide services that are part of a conservative management plan to avoid or delay elective surgery (as agreed with treating team)
- to provide services immediately following elective surgery that prevent secondary complications or aid functional recovery (as agreed with treating team)
